Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6). We face complex challenges. Let us place our full trust in God’s unfailing guidance, surrendering our limited understanding to His infinite wisdom for our church’s journey.

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. (Philippians 2:3-4). As leaders, let us embody Christ’s humility, prioritizing the collective good and seeking to serve rather than be served.

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians 3:13). In our deliberations, disagreements may arise. Colleagues, recall the essence of our faith from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7: ‘Love is patient, love is kind… It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.’ Let every interaction and decision today be rooted in agape love, the very foundation of our Christian fellowship and ministry.

Brethren, let us heed Galatians 6:9: ‘Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.’ The work of the church can be challenging, but our persistence, fueled by faith, will yield fruit. Let us encourage one another to endure.

Friends, consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord. It is this deep love and knowledge of Him that truly defines our calling and inspires our dedicated stewardship. Philippians 3:7-8.

Brethren, remember that Christ is the vine, and we are the branches. If we remain in Him, He in us, we will bear much fruit for His glory. Apart from Him, our efforts are in vain. John 15:5.

Colleagues, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is truly dead. Let our passion for Christ be visibly demonstrated through our diligent work, faithful service, and commitment to His mission. James 2:17.

Friends, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here! Let this truth empower us to approach our responsibilities with fresh perspective and renewed dedication to His call. 2 Corinthians 5:17.

But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence. 1 Peter 3:15. Our meeting’s outcomes should be a powerful, gentle witness to the hope we have in Christ, resonating beyond these walls.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. Romans 8:14. Just as a choir yields to its conductor, we must yield to the Holy Spirit’s guidance in every deliberation. Let us seek His lead, trusting His perfect direction for our shared stewardship.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror and goes away and immediately forgets what he was like. James 1:22-24.

I appeal to you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment. 1 Corinthians 1:10. Our shared faith in Christ is the anthem that unites us, guiding every decision.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Our divine ‘score’ is God’s Word; we must understand it fully to execute His will effectively.

Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ. Ephesians 4:15. As we deliberate, let our words be clear, purposeful, and imbued with Christ-like love, vocalizing truth that builds up, rather than tears down, our shared ministry.

Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body – whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free – and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13.
